Be a faith person, a Word person, start to think with God’s perspective. Look at what Proverbs says,
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21 NASB
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17 NASB
What is Christ? It is Jesus’ title, the anointed one. Hearing what the anointed one has to say. Start talking about God’s solution and not your problems. You cannot be a God inside minded person, or a Word-based person if you are continually talking about your problems. You may say, well, I have stage four pancreatic cancer. Well yes, you do, but you serve a God who can give you a new one or heal the one you’ve got! When you hang around people who talk unbelief, you are hearing. We just looked at Romans 10:17, that faith comes by hearing. What are you listening to?
“For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries.” 1 Corinthians 14:2 NASB
A spirit-led person understands that when they pray in tongues, they are not praying to men but praying to God. Would it benefit you to go to your pastor and say, I need healing? No, he isn’t God; he isn’t a healer. When you pray in tongues it is your spirit praying; it is your spirit praying secrets on you that you don’t even know. Go back to Mark 11,
“Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.” Mark 11:24 NASB
Let me ask you a question. Does it say anywhere in this verse about understanding? No, it says to pray, believe, and receive. So, when I pray in tongues, I tell the Lord, whatever my spirit just prayed, I believe it, and I receive it.
You have to approach everything from a God perspective. It will change your parenting, the Bible says, Fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath. There will be times when you are dealing with your children, and you are frustrated, and the Holy Spirit will tell you to back down. Being God inside minded doesn’t mean you have to be a religious fruitcake. When you start to learn God’s nature, there are things you can quickly brush off because you know that is not who you are. I’ve sat my son down to talk to him about drugs in the school system he is in. He tells me about kids who have done drugs, smoked pot, doing whatever. I asked him how he dealt with it. He said, what do you mean? I don’t even deal with it. He said he doesn’t hang around the kids that do drugs, and if offered, he laughs and says are you kidding me, I have a future, I’m not going to throw away my future because of you, I’m a believer. God inside people can be around ungodly influence or demonic activity. Still, it doesn’t influence you because you know that surely goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life. It doesn’t matter where you go or what you do; it follows you.
“(as it is written, ‘A father of many nations have I made you’) in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist.” Romans 4:17 NASB
Remember Mark 11:23-24; you have a right to pray and to ask things not of man, but of God. Because He calls things that aren’t as though they were. You need to begin to do this, begin to call things that aren’t as though they were. Whether it is something in your marriage, healing, or your finances, begin to believe God. As you begin to grow and are Spirit-led, you not only grow spiritually, but you grow economically, in your marriage, in your family. All of that is natural; there are people around you who are not growing, and because you are will say, oh, you think you are better than me. Often people who manifest in that type of spirit it is not because you have done anything wrong, it is because they have, and they are feeling conviction from the Holy Spirit. Remember 1 John 4:4 says; Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. Let Him in you lead you by becoming a God inside focused person. How does the Spirit of God lead you? How do you live a Spirit-led life? By becoming God inside minded. Don’t be selfish; don’t be inside focused on you, still be focused inside but get the focus off of you and turn it onto Him.
