You want to control your senses?  Walk in love, get in the Word.  Look back again at 1 John 5,

“This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” 1 John 5:14 NASB

What is His will?  His Word!  Do you understand how easy praying is?  He wants you to go to His Word, find out what His will is, then put Him in remembrance.  It isn’t your job to worry about how He is going to perform His Word; it is His job, let Him worry about it.  If you are struggling, remember if you serve Jesus, you get Jesus’ reward.  If you serve the devil, you get the devil’s reward.  Live for God or live for Satan, but you are going to get their reward.

“When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him.  And a leper came to Him and bowed down before Him, and said, ‘Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.’  Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, ‘I am willing’ be cleansed.’  And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” Matthew 8:1-3 NASB

Back in Bible times, it was against the law to touch a leper.  But if you read here, it says that Jesus touched the leper, and he was cleansed.  Some of you reading this are crying out for a hug, human touch.  Some of you reading this have things in your life that have caused you to walk away from God.  He wants to touch you and restore you.

Faith begins where the will of God is known.  You will find His will in His Word.  Jesus is no respecter of persons; He will heal anyone.  It doesn’t matter what you are going through; it could be illness, financial burdens, or you may be a lost sinner that needs salvation, Jesus is ready to cleanse you.  It is His will.  Tame your five physical senses.  Get into God’s Word, build your faith, find out what His Word says about your situation.  Look again at 1 John 5,

“This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.” 1 John 5:14-15 NASB

His Word is His legal bond, so pray the Word.

“For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.” 1 Corinthians 1:20 NASB

Where do you find the promises?  In the Word of God.  In Him, His promises are Yes, and Amen!  Judgment is good if you are on the right side of judgment.  If you go to court and the judge says ok, you’ve been judged, and this person owes you a large sum of money.  That is good judgment.  When you start to live your life by the Word, judgment comes, but it is good judgment.  The church has made folks fearful of judgment.

The Bible says whom the Lord loves He disciplines.  When you do someone wrong, go to them and apologize and make no excuses.  If you are a seasoned Christian, you should not be making excuses for things you have done.  Repent, forgive, and act like you have been forgiven.  You might have people in your life that are mad at you if you did them wrong, apologize.  If you didn’t do them wrong, then don’t apologize.  When you see them, don’t act like you have done anything wrong.  The Bible says there is no condemnation for those that are in Christ Jesus.  If you walk with Jesus and stay out of your flesh, there is no condemnation.  How do you tame your flesh, your five senses?  It is simple; you walk in faith.  Find out what God’s Word says and live by the Word.
